Xinyan Fang

​

Xinyan Fang is a piano educator with professional experience spanning instrumental teaching and performance experience, having learnt piano since she was 4 years old.

 

She holds a Diploma in Music from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, and completed her Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Instrumental & Vocal Teaching at the Royal College of Music, London in 2025. She is also pursuing post‑graduate studies in Master of Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne. Xinyan holds ABRSM Grade 8 Performance and Grade 5 Theory qualifications, alongside China Conservatory piano Level 10 certification.

 

As a pianist, Xinyan has earned competition awards, taken part in international masterclasses and pedagogy conferences across Singapore, Malaysia, China and Spain. She has delivered public lecture‑recitals combining music‑history presentation with live performance, alongside volunteer music education work with children and youth community programmes.

 

Alongside her teaching and performing journey, she keeps building interdisciplinary expertise in performance psychology, piano pedagogy, Alexander Technique, digital musicianship and arts management to enrich her music education practice. She also has a Chinese background and is bilingual, with the option to teach in Chinese/Mandarin as well as English.
