Max Rogers
Max is a pianist and trombonist with 15 years of playing experience and with Grade 8 AMEB standard in both instruments. His musical upbringing, beginning at 5 years old in the nation's capital of Canberra, has involved listening to and performing classical, jazz, contemporary and world music. He is passionate about exploring these genres and inspiring a love for music in others.
Max is currently studying a Diploma of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music alongside a Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne. He has also been a part of multiple prestigious ensembles throughout his musical education, including principal trombone in Canberra Youth Orchestra (2019), lead trombone in productions of Gilbert and Sullivan's musical, Pirates of Penzance (2019), and member and soloist in the Melbourne Conservatorium Big Band (2021).
With his diverse background and comprehensive experience, Max aims to impart a sound understanding of theoretical and practical concepts that have application in all genres of music, all while having fun!
