Jinny Wang​

​

Jinny Wang is a young pianist from Melbourne with 13 years of music experience.


She was most recently under the tutelage of Gina Gataveckaite, and had previously studied under multiple professors from different piano conservatoires, including famous Chinese pianist
Professor Yubo Zhou, Dr Peace Ye from the Central Conservatory of Music, and Professor Betty
Vergara-Pink from Musikhochschule Freiburg, Germany.

 

She also had the privilege to perform in master classes from renowned Russian pianist Andrey Shibko, and Dr Tristan Lee and Professor Glenn Riddle from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Jinny had received piano scholarships from Ballarat Clarendon College and Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School, as well as offered a place in the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School.


In 2024, she achieved the exceptional Award with Distinction in her Associate in Music Diploma (AMusA). She also received a raw score of 48 in VCE Music Repertoire Performance, placing her in the top 4 of all examinees in the state.

 

She enjoys collaborating with other musicians - she was a member of the Phillips Piano Quintet, and has performed piano concerti by Chopin and Saint-Saëns as the soloist with the Boaden Orchestra in 2024 and 2025.

 

She was recently featured on the renowned 3MBS radio programme "The Talent", and performed in Melbourne’s Hamer Hall as an accompanist.

 

As a pianist, her favourite composers are Rachmaninoff, Chopin, and especially Liszt - she enjoys the challenge of his passionate and technically demanding compositions.


As a piano tutor with 3 years of experience, Jinny is patient and attentive. She strives to build an environment best suited for each student’s interests and learning style, and ensures detailed and
constructive feedback.
