Keiko McCrohan

Keiko has learned piano since the age of 5 at Kawai Music School in Japan. During that time, she accompanied a number of school choirs for 3 years on the piano. She also play multiple instruments including violin, flute, koto (a traditional Japanese instrument) and soprano & alto recorders. During her time learning the koto in Japan, she performed with a group for 3 years in the Hakodate City Hall in Japan.
After being asked to work as an accompanist for students sitting AMEB violin exams (grades 3-6), Keiko decided to undertake AMEB exams for herself in order to best acquaint herself with the AMEB Comprehensive and Repertoire exam syllabus to best serve her students. Keiko is currently preparing for her AMEB Performance Certificate.
Keiko has also prepared for AMEB exams at all levels for violin and is able to best prepare beginner to intermediate students for the beginning of their music journey and their path toward exams should they wish to take it.
Keiko is also available to teach students in fluent Japanese.
